Crystal Palace boss Frank De Boer is convinced that Jairo Riedewald will be an excellent addition to his squad after signing the Ajax defender for a transfer fee in the region of £8million. The 20-year-old, who was handed his Ajax debut by De Boer when the Dutchman coached the Amsterdam-based side, has inked a five-year deal at Selhurst Park. De Boer, who has also snapped up Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea this summer, said: "Jairo Riedewald is a player I know well from my time at Ajax and I'm glad that he's now coming to join us at Crystal Palace. "He will be an excellent addition to our squad. He is a young player but already has a lot of experience." Soccer - Schneiderlin eyes Europa League progress

South Africa bowling coach Charl Langeveldt is confident that Kagiso Rabada will have a key role to play in the third Test against England at The Oval. Rabada was suspended for the second Test triumph at Trent Bridge but will take the place of Duanne Olivier when the third match in the series gets underway on Thursday. Langeveldt said of the 22-year-old, who has taken 80 wickets in 17 Test appearances: "He is the type of guy who steps up when the heat is on. Having KG back is a big bonus for us.
